NEW DELHI, Nov 30 (TIWN): Regional parties TIPRA Motha and IPFT have kicked off protests demanding a separate state for indigenous tribes in Tripura named ‘Greater Tipraland’.
The movement was initiated by Tripura Royal scion Pradyot Manikya led TIPRA Motha party and is now joined by the IPFT party. Other regional indigeous parties already merged with TIPRA Motha.
TIPRA Motha is now ruling the Tripura ADC followed by a massive public mandate.
Thousands of Greater Tipraland supporters have been agitating at Jantar Mantar in Delhi today. The leaders are also scheduled to meet PM Modi and Amit Shah. IPFT Minister Mebar Jamatia who is a cabinet member of Biplab Deb Govt here also present at Delhi.
