AGARTALA, Nov 25 (TIWN): Tripura Congress has demanded immediate resignation of CM Biplab Deb after massive rigging has hit the Municipal Poll.

Calling a press conference, Congress said, “The Govt has to pay for it. What happened today, we will give its befitting reply”.

Opposition parties have demanded re-polling though the Supreme Court has asked the Govt to beef up security up to counting day, but after massive rigging what will be the use of counting it has generated questions in public mind.

Majority of voters could not cast votes and fake vote-casting was operated booth-wise. But even after having video footage why the Election Commission of India is silent, it has erupted massive resentment when Tripura Election Commission’s role had been worse than a slave.
