Belonia, December 27 (TIWN): Bhartachandra Nagar, Poangbari , Tepania/Kalacherra/Laljuri/Chandipur new blocks under South Tripura are lacking for implementation of e-FMS System from 1st January 2015 . Director of Information Technology/Rural Development department is not either responding to the cause. Labour Payment as well as Material Payment directly transferred to Worker Bank Account & Vendor Accounts via e-FMS System.

From the financial year 2014-15 all Blocks will implements e-FMS System in all Gram Panchayat & ADC Village.

Moreover MGNREGA work’s formation of labour group’s are not encouraged by respective BDOs. There are many communication gaps between BDOs and Panchayat Secretary and Gram Rozkar Sevak(GRS) after multicrore Bishalghar Scam. Though in Tripura previously MGNREGA provided wage employment and created durable assets in rural areas. MGNREGA implementation can eradicate the problem of poverty to a great extent, and lead to economic empowerment and social upliftment of poor people, women, marginalized groups in rural areas.

Around 28 crore workers of 13 crore households under 778,134 villages in 644 districts in India come under MGNREGA, enacted in 2005. It provides at least 100 days of guaranteed wage employment in a year to each household whose adult members volunteer to do unskilled manual work.
