AGARTALA, Nov 19 (TIWN): Tripura Chief Minister Biplab Deb on Thursday during a poll campaigning in Barjala, Agartala claimed that farmers are earning Rs. 50,000 per month under the BJP Govt.
He cited a local farmer named Hiralal Das as a proof.
CM asked, “Why could not the farmers earn Rs. 50,000 earlier ?”
“The reason behind the poor income of farmers under the Communist regime is very simple. Because in the name of farmers' union, the Communists were exploiting the farmers, forcing them to walk in party rallies”, said CM Deb.
Noteworthy, today Modi Govt has announced to repeal the farm laws which has generated massive resentment among the farmers for the past one year.
