BELONIA, Nov 17 (TIWN): BJP workers allegedly organised attacks on CPI-M supporters at two separate locations in Hrishyamukh, Belonia.
The injured out of fear and for the sake of family’s safety refused to file complaints against miscreants.
Reportedly, some BJP goons in groups organised attack on a man named Parikshit Mitra, a resident of Jaipur area of Hrishyamukh block while he was on the way after buying medicine. The bike gangs first chased him and then hit him with sticks while he was riding bike. He was taken to Belonia Hospital from where he was referred to Gomoti District Hospital. CPI-M leaders Babul Debnath and Trilokesh Sinha rushed to the hospital to look after him.
Oppositely, same incident took place in Haripur Bazar, Hrishyamukh block, where a CPI-M activist Krishna Ghosh who went to the market, was suddenly attacked by miscreants. The arrow of accusation is against the BJP's bike gang. The attack occurred in broad daylight but no eyewitness obstructed the incident and later the people informed his family. After giving primary treatment he was also referred to Gomti District Hospital.
