BELONIA, Nov 16 (TIWN): On a shocking note, one brick kiln worker drowned while taking a bath. The deceased is identified as Shankar Chauhan. Age 42 years, from Noida area of ??Rajasthan. The incident took place around 9.30 am on Monday at Ma Kamaksha Brick kiln area under Belonia police station.

Immediately the locals informed Belonia firebrigade. The Belonia firebrigade rushed to the spot. However before the firebrigade reached the spot, the locals rescued the youth from water. Firebrigade brought Shankar Chauhan from the scene to Belonia Hospital. But the on-duty doctor of the hospital declared Shankar dead after conducting various tests.

It is learned that Ma Kamaksha brick kiln worker Shankar and her son were bathing in the pond on Monday. Shankar's wife and other brick kiln workers rushed to the spot and started shouting when they saw Shankar drowning in the pond water. Then the workers went down into the water and started searching. Sankar's body was found and brought out of the water. After that, the fire brigade personnel rushed to the spot and brought Shankar's body to Belonia Hospital when the on-duty doctors declared him dead.

This incident erupted a situation of tension in the local area of Ma Kamakhya Brick Klin.
