AGARTALA, Nov 11 (TIWN): Paralysed situation has been going on in various Govt Departments. For not receiving wages, MNREGA workers blocked road at Pakhi Tripura area under Panchratan ADC Village in Dumbur Nagar RD block, Dhalai district Gandachhara sub-division.
Reportedly, MGNREGA workers worked before Durga Puja for 20 days in September month but when the workers visited the Bank to check bank accounts whether the REGA wages were credited or not they noticed wages were not credited. With resentment the victim REGA worker informed the matter to BDO Secretary repeatedly. They also had met the MLA, BDO Secretary and GRS but no positive response was received. Over the negligence of the Department, the workers blocked the road.
Later, Gandachara SDPO along with huge Police force rushed to the blockade area and withdrew the blockade.
