AGARTALA, Nov 11 (TIWN): Tripura Govt has appealed in the High Court for permission for reinvestigation of a case of 2014 after the High Court had acquitted all the accused persons in the case.
But the High Court has dismissed the plea of the Govt.
Reacting over the case, Senior Advocate Pujish Kanti Biswas told media, “The advocate general appealed for further investigation but I argued how can it happen under Indian law when final judgement was given already”.
However, Pijush Biswas said that the Govt can appeal in the Supreme Court now against the verdict.
In 2014 in Agartala TATA Kalibari area, a woman was beaten up after some men and women had tied her with ropes. Recently all the accused persons were acquitted in this case.
