AGARTALA, Nov 10 (TIWN): Democracy is in peril, no right for campaigning, oppositions are unable to campaigning due to BJP backed continuous threats. Around 100 bike gang goons threatened TMC candidate to stop campaigning at Ward No-14 in front of Ranjit Nagar School.

Reportedly, Paushali Dutta, a TMC candidate under Ward No-14 went out to campaign centering Municipal Poll but after visiting 3-4 houses BJP backed miscreants threatened to stop campaigning. While the TMC members protested, suddenly around 100 bike gang goons gheraoed them in front of Ranjit Nagar School and threatened to return home and if not then they will see them. Noticing the bike gang goons, the TMC candidate returned home without campaigning.  Also, a TMC member Sajal Kumar Datta was beaten up and threatened him at his home so that he could not stay at home and if he stays he will be killed.

Centering this, the candidate rushed to Ramnagar Outpost to file a case against the BJP backed miscreants.
