AGARTALA, Nov 8 (TIWN): Amid massive rigging and uncontested seats won by BJP, SDM Sadar Ashim Saha (RO) has informed the media that Tripura will keep the record of peaceful election.
Tripura Municipal Polls will be conducted on 25th November.
Adequate security arrangements will be there, said the SDM.
“Peaceful elections are Tripura’s glory and I hope it will continue”, said the SDM.
Centering Municipal Poll 2021, training has been provided in Agartala and for each booth 5 Polling personnel are needed and there are a total 439 Polling booths for 51 Ward. Training will be continued for 2 days and 4 Schools have been chosen as training centres. In this training above 250 trainees are getting trained.
Group training will be held on 15th Nov and all procedures will be shown in this Training period to the polling personnel. Polling personnel’s election would be scheduled on 19th, 20th and 21st Nov and the venue selected at the old Building of Umakanta School, said Returning Officer Sadar Sub-Divisional Magistrate Asim Saha.
