CALCUTTA / AGARTALA, Oct 29 (TIWN): TMC General Secretary, MP Abhishek Banerjee met injured Maman Khan who has been undergoing critical condition since was attacked by BJP patronized goons in Amtali of Agartala on 22nd October during a door to door campaigning on behalf of the BJP party. Maman Khan’s condition is critical as his kidney was affected in the attack and Doctors had to start dialysis there. Maman Khan is now admitted in SSKM hospital in Kolkata. MP Abhishek Banerjee to visit Tripura on 31st October and to address a rally in front of Rabindra Bhawan, Agartala.Ahead of Abhishek Banerjee’s arrival, TMC is organizing campaigning and on 22nd October during such a campaign at least 6 TMC members were brutally attacked where MP Sushmita Dev also received injuries including two more women. One of the injured victims is Maman Khan, admitted in SSKM hospital, Kolkata.

So far no arrest was made by police in this incident, even though video footage of the attack is now available.
