AGARTALA, Oct 29 (TIWN): 56 years old man committed suicide allegedly due to the pressure of bank to clear bank loan in single instalment.
The old man has been identified as Santosh Dutta (56), resident of Gokul Nagar in Bishalgarh who took loan of Rs 1 lakh from Bandhan Bank. But after paying Rs 50,000 to the Bank the remaining amount could not be paid by him but the Bank has been pressuring Santosh Datta to clear the loan in single instalment amid Covid situation.
Under bank pressure the 56 year old man Santosh committed suicide by consuming poison. Family took him to Bishalgarh Hospital from where he was taken to GB Hospital. After a while, Santosh fell into the lap of death.
After an autopsy at GB Hospital his body was handed over to the family.
