AGARTALA, Oct 28 (TIWN): Municipal Corporation Election is scheduled to be held on Nov 25, but ahead of Municipal elections ruling party miscreants in groups assembled in various places to organise attacks to stop submission of Nomination forms to the Returning officer by the opposition parties. Over this issue today 5 delegation members of CPI-M party placed deputation to the West DM and demanded to provide safety to the candidates and voters.

Reportedly, miscreants with sticks assembled at Jirania Ranirbazar, Madhab Bari, Khayerpur, Mohanpur, Tulabagan Chowmuhani, Fatikchara Bazar Mohanpur like areas yesterday and also the miscreants assembled today in groups.

BJP members are allegedly checking public papers inside SDM offices so that no one can submit Nomination Paper.

“BJP is killing Democracy. BJP is sheltering terror as the common public from Office to Markets expressing resentment against BJP over their performance since the government had formed”, said CPI-M leader Ratan Das.
