AGARTALA, Oct 23 (TIWN): Trinamool Congress (TMC) MP Sushmita Dev has criticized a section of media for broadcasting ‘TMC campaigning without permission’ in the state. The TMC MP questioned the constitutional stand of the reporting and asked, whether it is permissible to beat anyone in broad daylight ? The statement came as the TMC leaders visited Police Headquarter, placed a deputation to the DGP seeking arrests of the culprits who attacked TMC in broad daylight in Amtali market on Friday. She said, “The way the goons attacked us, it is visible that they are licensed for such activities. In front of police they organized the attack not even by covering their faces. It proves the goons have administrative and political patronization”.
Along with MP Sushmita Dev, Bengal Minister Moloy Ghatak, MP Shantanu Sen, Tripura TMC convener Subal Bhowmik and others were present.

The attack took place when the TMC members were talking to the market’s shop-keepers.
All of a sudden some miscreants attacked the TMC where I-PAC team members were present.
TMC alleged that the entire incident happened in front of police.
The 6 injured persons are : 1) Surjakanta Sarkar, 2) Maman, 2) Sushanta (I-PAC) 3) Shantanu (I-PAC) 4) Ratul Dey, 5) Amit and 6) Rahul. Two more female activists also received minor injuries in the incident. Also MP Sushmita Dev received an injury in hand.
