'CRPF Jawans were on Attack Spot but didn't rescue us', said TMC Woman leader who was attacked today by BJP miscreants

AGARTALA, Oct 22 (TIWN): While interacting with media after the deadly attack on TMC members, TMC youth leader Dipannita Chakraborty said, "Our program was pre-scheduled today. When we reached here, around 20-25 miscreants attacked us. We were two women only and they were 20-25. There were CRPF Jawans on the spot, they were watching the whole incident but they didn't take a single initiative to rescue us from the miscreants."
On Friday afternoon few BJP miscreants attacked TMC leaders including women activists during their political program at Amtali market area. The miscreants also vandalised their newly inaugurated poll campaign car.
In this incident, six TMC leaders were injured. 3 more women members received minor injuries including MP Sushmita Dev. Over the deadly attack on TMC members, TMC MP, Sushmita Dev said, "The way miscreants held an attack on TMC leaders openly before police, it means the miscreants have police and political backup."
