AGARTALA, Oct 22 (TIWN): Rapidly increasing consumption of drugs among the young generation, the youth’s life went under the clutches of drugs. Death news from consuming overdose of drugs has become common nowadays. Locals caught a bicycle thief at Natun Nagar Bazar adjacent to VIP Road. Several drug items were recovered from the detained thief.
The thief admitted he often steals bicycle to buy drugs also admitted he bought drugs from Himangshu’s shop in Natunnagar Bazar and recently 3 new bicycles were stolen from a shop to buy drugs.
The Natunnagar Bazar Committee tied the thief until the local PS Police rushed on the spot. Later the thief was handed over to the Police. Based on the detained thieves’ words, Police conducted search operations at local shops and recovered huge amounts of contraband items from a shop.
