AGARTALA, Oct 11 (TIWN): Tripura High Court Bar Association members have given farewell to Tripura Chief Justice as he was transferred to Rajasthan High Court as the Chief Justice there.
Justice Akil Abdulhamid Kureshi is an Indian judge. Presently, he is Chief Justice of Tripura High Court. He is a former Judge of Bombay High Court and Gujarat High Court.
Centre on October 9 notified the transfer of Justice Akil Kureshi, Chief Justice of the Tripura High Court, who was at the centre of a two-year impasse within the Supreme Court collegium over the appointment of judges, as the Chief Justice of the Rajasthan High Court.
Justice Kureshi enrolled as an Advocate in Gujarat after obtaining an LL.B. degree in 1983. He was appointed as an Additional Judge of the Gujarat High Court in March 2004 and was made a permanent judge in 2005.
