AGARTALA, Oct 10 (TIWN): In a unique manner, Agartala’s Naba Diganta Club's Durga puja pandal was inaugurated by ASHA workers on Panchami evening.

Club members said that due to their dedication to the health services amid Covid pandemic, the club decided to inaugurate their puja by the health workers.

Today, it is Maha Panchami which starts the festive temperament whereas the actual puja in Bengali community will begin from tomorrow with Maha-Shashthi. The fifth day of Navratri (Maha-Panchami) is dedicated to Skandmata who is worshiped as the fifth form of Goddess Durga. She is considered to be extremely kind and it is said that this form of Goddess Durga defines motherhood.
