AGARTALA, Oct 9 (TIWN): Petrol, Diesel price hike hits the state, Congress staged a protest programme over continuous increasing price of petrol, diesel and necessary commodities.

The unprecedented economic slowdown, the rising unemployment rate and skyrocketing prices of petrol and diesel has become heavy on vehicle riders. Not only petrol and diesel Price hiked price hikes on necessary commodities also, as a result common people to poor people are suffering massively. The daily commuters are also facing trouble along with the vehicle drivers due to price hike of petrol. Rising unemployment rate and rising price of necessary commodities hits the state but the government is in slumber.

Congress leaders staged a protest programme over continuous price hike on necessary commodities and fuel in front of the Congress Bhawan, Agartala. Congress leaders demanded immediately the price of necessary commodities should be reduced otherwise the protest will be continued.
