AGARTALA, Oct 8 (TIWN): Stating that without examination passing all students are not helping the students at all for their future, TBSE President Bhabotosh Saha has declared on Friday that the Board exams will be taken in two parts for the 2021-22 session. “Already the syllabus was reduced to 70% and that 70% half syllabus’s exam will be taken in the first term and the second exam will be taken in the second term”, said Bhabotosh Saha. The decision came after in 2021 massive protests erupted statewide as students demanded all should be passed without exams as due to Covid no classes and final exams were held.
This year, to avoid that kind of situation this decision was taken.
After passing all, it has become tough for colleges to check the merit of the students who are taking admissions.
Bhabotosh Saha further said, “We are not sure whether Covid will increase or decrease and so it will be better to take exams from time to time, so that no hurdle is created to announce the marks of the students”.
