AGARTALA, Oct 7 (TIWN): 65 families have joined the Congress party today in Agartala.

The newly joined members are from various parties.

Party President Birjit Sinha was present on that occasion.

Talking to the media, Birjit Sinha said, “Right now Congress is the only party of India which can take the country ahead. Congress’s main ideology is secularism and India’s constitution’s base is secularism. This secularism should be strengthened further and without it India’s development is not possible and that’s why Congress’s strength is utmost important”.
