AGARTALA / KOLKATA, Oct 4 (TIWN): Tripura BJP’s infighting has been benefiting TMC party which is trying to unseat the BJP Govt in 2023 Assembly Election and to form its own Govt. BJP Surma constituency MLA Asish Das has now openly supported Bengal CM Mamata Banerjee and alleged a “Dictatorship” is going on under the BJP Govt. BJP MLA Asish Das also said that he wants to see Mamata Banerjee as the next Prime Minister of India.

On being asked by Kolkata journalists, why being a BJP MLA, he is supporting Mamata Banerjee, Asish Das said, “The person (Modi)who said that he would not tolerate corruption has now taken a turn. I am from Tripura and as MLA I am not getting the respect and across India an attempt of Dictatorship is prevailing. Our national properties are sold off”.

“After Indira Gandhi, Mamata Banerjee has emerged as an ideal figure to become a Prime Minister. Also, as a Bengali, I feel proud that after Independence such a great Bengali leader has come out in front of the nation again and be the Prime Minister", said Das.

Bengalis are carrying the blood of freedom fighters but politically since Independence nobody could take the place of the freedom fighters. But Mamata Banerjee has emerged as such a great figure whom we can compare to the great freedom fighters”, said Asish Das.
