AGARTALA, Oct 1 (TIWN): Two school students along with their parents were injured in a head-on collision between a Maruti and an auto in Bishramganj's Padmanagar area at 7am on Friday. Police arrested the Maruti driver who was found in an intoxicated situation.
According to the details of the incident, Tr01071816 auto car was coming towards the Bishramganj Don Bosco School at 7 am when the TR03C0722 Maruti van hit the auto after loosing it's control due to excessive speed. People from the surrounding area rushed to the spot and rescued the schoolgirls and their parents from the auto. They immediately informed the Bishramganj Fire Brigade. The fire Brigade rushed to the spot and rescued the injured persons and took them to Bishramganj primary health care center. Presently, they are undergoing medical supervision.
On the other hand, the angry mob attacked the Maruti driver who was found intoxicated. They claimed that the accident occurred due to his unconsciousness. They also broken his car. Later, the Fire Brigade member took him with them and handed over to Bishramganj police.
