AGARTALA, Aug 25 (TIWN): While conducting routine checking with a joint venture of Teliamura Traffic Unit and Teliamura Police huge amount of dry cannabis worth Rs 5 lakh was seized. The vehicle was also seized at Hawai Bari checking Point area under Teliamura police station on Wednesday.

The raid was led jointly by SI Indrajit Debbarma, in-charge of Teliamura traffic unit, and Teliamura police, and later was informed to Teliamura Police Officer Sona Charan Jamatia.

The seized vehicle registered number- HR38Z1453 was on the way to Agartala from Haryana. In search in the vehicle police recovered 155 kg dried cannabis.

The driver Rajesh Kumar, resident of Faridabad, Haryana has been arrested by police.
