AGARTALA, Aug 13 (TIWN): The AIDSO Tripura State Organizing Committee has expressed deep concerns that this year as many students did not score expected marks and how all students are much worried about college admissions. So All India Democratic Students Organisation (AIDSO) placed a memorandum to the Higher Education Department over the ongoing difficulties which the students are facing college admission.
The AIDSO demanded, Admission in the college should be assured to the students and students should be given priority in admission to the college which is nearest to their residence as per their choice.
They demanded to start offline classes in all the colleges and universities of the state immediately in compliance with the health rules. Sufficient numbers of professors should be appointed in the colleges immediately. In Colleges the numbers of seats in honours courses are very limited and so AIDSO demanded that the numbers of seats should be increased in every college.
Also the organization has demanded due to the Covid situation, all types of fees including admission fees should be waived.
