AGARTALA, July 27 (TIWN): Statewide massive protest was staged in Tripura by Trinamool Congress members after arrests of I-PAC team members in Agartala Hotel Woodland Park.
It has been reported that already Bengal CM Mamata Banerjee has sent her two Ministers and one MP in Tripura to release the I-PAC members from police who are not allowed to go out of the hotel and kept under house arrested for last 3 days.
The 23 members' I-PAC team arrived in Tripura to take ground reports of the state for the Trinamool party which is trying to emerge as the major opposition party against Tripura BJP for 2023 poll.
Trinamool leader of West Bengal Abhishek Banerjee tweeted, "The fear in BJP-Tripura before even AITC officials stepped into the land, is more than evident! They are so rattled by our victory in #Bengal that they've now kept 23 IPAC employees under house arrest. Democracy in this nation dies a thousand deaths under BJP's misrule".
In Tripura, opposition parties have also criticized the BJP Govt over its madness with political affairs resulting in display of panic.
