AGARTALA, July 21 (TIWN): Day after a 20 years old boy's death of negligence was alleged by his parents while taking his dead body from GB Hospital, now the Health workers under Group-D (also known as Casual workers) have criticized the Govt for discriminating with them on safety kits distribution. Talking to the media, one of the casual employees said that even though they are appointed to carry emergency patients to the AGMC Block where Covid patients are also admitted, they are not provided with safety kits. "We want at least gloves to be given to us. Various types of patients come here and many patients who consumed poison are also brought here. Blood, Vomiting all kinds of things we have to handle but why are we not given gloves ?"
The workers who are appointed in patient carrying works, have also raised their voice against the pathetic condition of the emergency route which is left broken for a long time.
Such a broken road is uncomfortable for the patients as well as for the workers. They have demanded immediate repair of it.
The demands, which should be raised by higher officials, Doctors has been raised by the casual workers in the hospital.
