AGARTALA, July 15 (TIWN): Belonia administration conducted mask drive across Vidyapith Corner area on Thursday. The officials led by SDM Manik Lal Das adopted an innovative way of conducting Covid test on spot while continuing the awareness drive in different places of Belonia. With the help of Medical team and police the Belonia administration conducted Rapid Antigen Test of the people who were seen roaming without mask.
Public without mask also faced imposition of fines. Equal punishment was given to those who did not wear masks properly.
While talking to media the SDM said, "To control the spread of Corona virus and to aware people we are conducting RAT among the public who are not wearing masks properly. We are also imposing penalty on them. We have seen people being unwilling to wear the mask and follow the Covid-19 guidelines. Thus, to aware people more we have taken this step with the help of medical team and police."
The administrative members also distributed masks and sanitizers among the people in need.
