AGARTALA, July 12 (TIWN): Numbers of low-budget Ratha-Yatra festivals increased this year as the big festivals of the towns remained off due to Covid-19.
For the last few decades, due to increasing numbers of clubs and organizations, various festivals including Durga puja have turned into an economic show-off and decorations, lighting turned the centre of focus but due to Coronavirus, now people tend to celebrate locally more.
Same was seen in this Ratha-Yatra festival.
Every year children celebrate Ratha-Yatra festival where with a low budget, they make Rathas but the center of focus is seized by the big festivals of the town areas.
This year people have shown much more interest in children made Rathas as the temples are restricted, In one way, it has restored the lost tradition where in earlier days people used to celebrate at low budget but enjoyed the togetherness among the locals.
