AGARTALA, July 12 (TIWN): Tripura was imposed with 2 days Weekend Curfew after a Fake news was delivered by Tripura Health Dept under Biplab Deb saying, one 138 delta plus variants were found in the State.

People are left in miseries, massive economic crisis, attempting suicide due to continuous restructions, curfews in state causing incomeless conditions. At the same time, loan burdens, banks' pressures are causing troubles for the people but after Tripura was reported in No-7 rank for Covid-19, the Health Dept called a press meet and announced that Delta-plus was tested in the state.

The Central Govt has confronted the data and clarified that no Delta plus was found in Tripura.

There were some Media reports regarding rising cases of Delta Plus variants in Tripura. In this regard, it is informed that : 

•152 samples were sent from Tripura to NIBMG Kalyani for Whole Genome Sequence(WGS). 

•The random samples were of people tested RT-PCR positive between April and May 2021 

•The results of the WGS done at NIBMG Kalyani reveal- 

1) 3 samples had tested positive for B.1.1.7 

2) 11 samples had tested positive for B.1.617.1(Kappa) 

3) 138 samples had tested positive for B.1.617.2 (Delta)
