AGARTALA, May 30 (TIWN): SFI organized a blood donation camp at the Chatra-Tuva Bhavan. Opposition leader Manik Sarkar and other leaders were present.
Addressing the camp, Manik Sarkar said, ”During the CPIM era, when we used to set up blood donation camps, the then opposition party would tell us that we were wasting blood. There are blood camps all over the world and every year a small percentage of blood is wasted and it is very natural and compared to other states the percentage of blood wasted in our state is very low and at least no one died due to lack of blood because we organized such camps frequently.”
“The present government is useless that deprives the people of great deeds like donating blood”, he asserted.
