BELONIA, May 27 (TIWN): Police of Baikhora PS recovered a large quantity of foreign liquor based on secret information. The seized amount is estimated around Rs 1.5 lakhs.

According to the details of the incident, the police of Baikhora police station received a report at around 12 noon on Thursday that foreign liquor was being illegally stored in a water factory at Bairakhora East Charakbai Anand Vaidya Para.

Based on this secret information the police of Baikhora PS conducted a joint operation with the staff of Axis Department and recovered 36 cartons and 6 bottles of foreign liquor of different brands from the water godown. The seized contraband items market value is estimated around Rs 1.5 lakhs, said police officials.

However, Police could not arrest anyone in this connection. Baikhora Police Station's newly promoted OC, Gopal Shukla Das stated this in front of the media, he also said such campaigns will continue in the coming days.
