Agartala, May, 20 (TIWN): A young man was seriously injured in a road accident. The incident took place in the Jirtali area under Belonia PS. On receiving the news, the fire brigade of Belonia rescued the injured youth from the spot and brought him to Belonia Hospital for treatment.

The injured youth is identified as Ranjit Datta, 32 years old, residing at Belonia Boroj Colony area, he is mason by profession. Ranjit was riding his bike registered No.- TROB5624 and lost control while he was taking a turn on the side of the road adjacent to the Railway Bridge in Jirtali area. It is learned that he was on the way to Belonia from Jirtali Bazar.

Locals immediately informed the Belonia Fire Station, the Fire service personnel rushed to the spot, rescued Ranjit and brought him to Belonia Hospital for treatment.

As Ranjit's condition was serious, the on duty doctor at Belonia Hospital referred him to Udaipur Gomti District Hospital.
