AGARTALA, May 19 (TIWN): With the rate of increasing Covid infection in the state, taking advantage of this pandemic, some unscrupulous traders in the city are continuing black marketing on essential commodities.

In an administrative drive 3 edible oil godowns at central road, Chitta Ranjan road, NS road were sealed by Addl SDM for being unable to show valid documents.

Eventually, Addl Sadar Sub-Divisional Magistrate, Binoy Bhoshan Das including Sub-Divisional food controller, raided various shops in Agartala to stop black marketing of edible oil.

During the raid 3 godowns of Kalipada Paul, M/s- Ashwini Kumar Paul were sealed for being unable to show the sell register, cash memos, and other valid documents. 

Addl SDM provided show cause notice to the godown owner, Kalipada Paul and action will be taken as per law.  Even after having enough stocks Sub dealers are not getting edible oils properly, based on this complaint Sadar SDM raided at edible oil godowns. 

Addl SDM, Binoy Bhoshan Das requested to common people not to be panic and not to give importance to rumours of stock out of edible oil in the state, as enough edible oils are stored.
