AGARTALA, May 11(TIWN): Fire broke out in the hay at Asikul Islam’s house. When the house owner, Asikul Inslam saw the fire he tried to extinguish the fire including his neighbour. It was informed to Bishalgarh Fire Station immediately. On receiving the news the Bishalgarh Fire Station staff rushed to the scene, with effort the fire department personnel brought the fire under control and prevented the flames from spreading to the other parts of the area.

Preliminary investigation says the fire in hay was set by miscreants in dark hours. The house owner Asikul said the damage amount is estimated around Rs 20,000. 

Asikul also claimed miscreants’ has caused fire in the hay of many houses in the West Lakkhibil area within the last few days. 

The culprits yet have not been identified. One fire in hay in a row within a few days has created panic among the West Lakkhibil villagers.
