AGARTALA, May 10 (TIWN): Local people and shopkeepers caught a drug dealer at Bishalgarh Bazar at around 12 noon on Sunday.

The name of the drug seller has been identified as Subrata Debnath, residence of Ambagan area at Bishalgarh.

Subrata has been accused of selling various types of narcotics items, brown Sugar, Heroin and other various drugs items has been selling in his shop for a long time.

For a long time, the local businessmen and local public tried to persuade him to stay away from the drug trade. But the drug dealer, Subrata, runs this business for the sake of extra profit.

The locals and traders were in rage because day by day the youth of the society is being destroyed for taking drugs.

Out of angst the other local shopkeepers of Bishalgarh bazaar caught Subrata red handed, beaten him up and instructed him to close his shop.

Upon receiving the news the Bishalgarh police rushed to the scene and arrested the drug dealer, Subrata.
