AGARTALA, April 29 (TIWN): A mother of two children attempted suicide by setting herself on fire over family hassle. The housewife burnt almost 90%, the injured housewife is undergoing treatment at GB hospital, incident took place in Kadamtali area of Bishalgarh.
According to sources, Jahangir Hossain, a mason from Kadamtali area of Bishalgarh, was living happily with his wife Anjuara Begum and their two children. But according to local sources, argument has been continuing since a long time. Unlike everyday on Thursday morning quarrel started among them at one point the wife poured kerosene on her body and set it on fire.
After hearing screaming of the housewife, the locals rescued her and brought her to Bishalgarh Hospital. As her condition was critical the on duty Doctors referred the injured to Agartala, GB Hospital.
It is known that 90 percent of his body was burnt.
Meanwhile, the housewife, Anjuara’s family members rushed to her in-laws house and vandalized the house. It was alleged Anjuara’s husband and her sister-in-law set fire on her.
Reportedly, Anjuara’s husband, Jahangir fled away from the scene. The vile incident has cast a shadow of mourning over the Kadamtala area.
