AGARTALA, April 24 (TIWN): Reliance Foundation has observed World Veterinary Day 2021 on Saturday.
The welfare of animals is intrinsically related to the well-being of human beings and the ecosystem. To mark the importance of Veterinary doctors who serve to protect animal resources, the veterinary day is celebrated globally on the last Saturday of April every year. To celebrate the Day, the Reliance Foundation – Tripura, in collaboration with its grass root partner Bagma Agri Producer Company Ltd. organized a veterinary camp at Village Dakshin Bagma under Tepania Block of Gomati District in State Tripura on 24th April 2021, Saturday. This day focused on the realization that animals and men live interconnected lives, so their existence depends on each other followed by animal treatment at free.
The team that made the camp a success consisted of Debayan Das (Program Support, RFIS), Sudip Majumdar (CEO, Bagma FPO) and Dr. Tapas Kanti Pal (ARDD, Udaipur Gomati Tripura) who attended for animal treatment and pregnancy test. Medicines also distributed among the villagers at free. The villagers were very happy with the initiative taken by the Reliance Foundation.
