AGARTALA, March 24 (TIWN): Amid tall claims about innovative ideas of distributing rice to Children during COVID-19 time by Minister Ratanlal Nath, it has been noticed that Chelagang, Gaipaka SB School in ADC area under 43 Karbuk Assembly had given mid-day meal rice today to students.

The mid day meal rice was infested with insects and unfit for consumption. Later, when the parents rushed to the school to talk over the issue school in-charge, Sameer Chandra Das avoided them and escaped from school premises. And, informed parents to discuss with Karbuk Mandal president, Atindra Riang and BJP MLA Burba Mohan, about this matter.

When Haradhan Jamatia, a leftist candidate in the ADC election, came to know about this issue, he strongly protested and condemned it. And also he raised the question how the school has given insect infested rice to students? He said administration should take legal action against the School in-charge.
