AGARTALA, March 18 (TIWN): Thefts and robberies are rising continuously in-state but unfortunately the police have failed to stem the growth of such crimes.

On Wednesday night, a gang of thieves entered Ajit Dey’s house in Bishalgarh subdivision, broke the doors and windows with sharp weapons, and looted cash and important documents. Ajit is currently staying in Agartala for work purposes, taking advantage of his absence, the thieves laundered his house.

After locals saw the door broken, they informed Ajit and soon a complaint was made in Bishalgarh PS. However, this time the role of the police angered the public. The incident also raised serious questions over police patrolling during nights.
