AGARTALA, Jan 15 (TIWN): The United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) has launched its biggest project of Northeast in Tripura to end the oxygen shortage problem in State hospitals.
This project is the biggest project ever in Northeast for Health Care which will ensure permanent oxygen creation in the hospital itself. After this plant is lauched, the hospital will not have to hire / purchase cylinders from outside.

If succeeded, it will be a huge project for the people of Tripura and recently imposed oxygen charges in Govt hospitals which erupted much criticism can be removed then.
The UNDP official said that it might take around 45 days to complete the whole project, once site is selected. He said once it is built then it will tremendously help the people of Tripura, specially those who are living near Agartala.
However, the contruction and laying of the pipelines will be funded by Govt of Tripura.
