AGARTALA, Dec 22 (TIWN): In fear of getting arrested, BJP blocked road at Khayerpur seeking CPI-M leader Pabitra Kar's arrest, amid media coverage proved that BJP was behind the attack on Dec 20.
A delegation of MLAs, including opposition leader Manik Sarkar, was scheduled to visit the victims’ houses. But they had to cancel the program due to unnecessary chaos created by the ruling party.
Alleged BJP supporters claimed that BJP party workers were passing before youth leader Pabitra Kar’s home when CPIM activists attacked them.
However, the CCTV footage showed that during the farmers’ convention in Pabitra Kar’s house, 25-30 BJP hooligans attacked Kar’s house. Several activists and 3 journalists got serious wounds in the attack. Around 30-35 bikes and cars were broken and set on fire. One of the injured was referred to Kolkata to get a Brain operation.
