AGARTALA, Dec 21 (TIWN): Yesterday evening, 20 to 30 BJP miscreants attacked Samir Kar’s house in the Khayerpur area. A scooter and a bike were set on fire.

The house was looted and gold items along with cash were snatched. Immediately after the incident, when the RK Nagar police station was informed, the miscreants fled before the police arrived. Samir alleged BJP goons for the incident.

Earlier in the afternoon, many CPIM activists and 3 journalists were seriously injured by BJP hooligans during DYFI’s convention in Khayerpur. BDP Mandal threatened the reporters to delete the evidence. One of the injured was referred to Kolkata to undergo a Brain operation.
