AGARTALA, Dec 20 (TIWN): BJP hooligans attacked DYFI’s convention in Khayerpur today. The convention was against the policy of reduction of employees and regarding unemployment in various government departments.

Taking on media, Senior leader Pabitra Kar said, “the BJP hooligans came to our convention to attack. The miscreants have beaten our party officials and broke their Bikes. State Committee members, Sadaranjan Deb, Ratan Das and Pinak Das got serious injuries".

 After the counter-attack, the hooligans fled. Fire service personnel came and took the injured to the hospital.

 Mr. Kar also alleged that since 2018 such ruthless activities are going on in different corners of the state. After winning the 18th Lok Sabha elections, BJP goons raided the homes of CPIM party workers and snatched the lands of the poor people. Hundreds of workers were evacuated from their land.
