AGARTALA, Dec 20 (TIWN): In a brutal attack on the opposition party activists at Khayerpur, a journalist was severely injured along many party workers received injuries during a convention of the CPI-M party's youth wings on Sunday. The convention was going on in the house of former Deputy Speaker Pabitra Kar that all of a sudden a group of BJP party's people attacked in the convention, vandalized house and then had broken the car which was kept inside the house. The miscreants then attacked on a journalist of a daily newspaper, who was seen bleeding, hospitalized. CPI-M leader Pabitra Kar said that such activities are reflection of their weakness as the BJP has lost its ground here. "Our workers then defended themselves and as soon as they started defending, then BJP's miscreants escaped from the spot. This is not an isolated incident but since after the election, such incidents have been increasing heavily in Khayerpur. People will give proper answer to such anti-social activities of the BJP Party", said Pabitra Kar. 

Along car, bikes were also vandalized. Three CPI-M party workers were severely injured.
