AGARTALA, Dec 20 (TIWN): Bank Employees Federation-Tripura held Press Conference at Agartala Press Club. The organization claimed that the ruling government is trying to destroy the State’s Cooperative Bank by forcing the officials to perform unlawful activities.
While addressing the media, Jawaharlal Dey, General Secretary of Bank Association of Tripura said that Corporates are getting loans without paying interest. The burden of unpaid debt is increasing day by day.
The committee also claimed that the Chairman, Managing Director and General Director of the bank are getting threats by BJP hooligans every day because of which the Managing Director has already resigned from the post.
On Dec 07, a reputed ruling party leader threatened Chairman Janardhan Basu when he denied performing illicit activities.
Officials and staff at different levels are feeling insecure now. The recent negligence of the current Board of Directors and recent developments have made the future of the Bank uncertain.
