AGARTALA, Dec 18 (TIWN): Low quality work has been alleged in the construction of Jolaibari-Belonia route.

Already Muhuripur area's locals under Santir Bazar have raised questions on the quality of the construction work. 

The soil used for the construction is of very low quality, alleged locals.

MS Satish Prasad, a contractor from Jharkhand was given the liability for this work. People trusted that the contractor from the outside state would do his job appropriately. But, later on, the locals of the Muhuripur zone under the Shanti Bazar sub-division have realized the quality of the work. They alleged Prasad for utilizing inferior quality dark soil for road construction.

 To express their anger, the people took on the media. They said they will also take up the issue with the village head of the area. 

 Presently, it stays not yet clear what sort of steps the state government will take to support the local people.
