AGARTALA, Dec 18 (TIWN): Local people claimed that the development work of the national highway between Bilonia and Jolaibari is of low quality.

The state government is working for the advancement of the whole state and the welfare of the people. Meanwhile, for the improvement of South Tripura, the construction of a national highway from Jolaibari to Bilonia has begun.

 MS Satish Prasad, a contractor from Jharkhand was given the liability for this work. People trusted that the contractor from the outside state would do his job appropriately. But, later on, the locals of the Muhuripur zone under the Shanti Bazar sub-division have realized the quality of the work. They alleged Prasad for utilizing inferior quality dark soil for road construction.

 To express their anger, the people took on the media. They said they will also take up the issue with the village head of the area. 

 Presently, it stays not yet clear what sort of steps the state government will take to support the local people.
