AGARTALA, Dec 14 (TIWN): Sacked 10323 Teachers have continued their protests on Day 8 amid extreme unfriendly weather but Tripura Govt which before Election promised to make continuation of the teachers' jobs by changing a portion of the law of the constitution, specially for Tripura's sacked teachers, has failed to keep its promise. Today 'All Tripura Blind Association' has stood beside the 10323 teachers, helped the agitating teachers with essential commodities but Tripura Govt has kept its eyes "technically" blind and talking about recruitment policies, which naturally raises question, why before Election such recruitment rules were not kept in mind ? Why fake promise was given in the Vision Document ? Till now, the teachers have not received any green signal from the Govt for discussion and make a solution by proper discussion. On the other side, Education Minister Ratanlal Nath is giving scattered statements here and there which is turning the situation worse.
This silence politics is erupting resentment when various teachers have already fallen sick. 10323 teacher Ajay Debbarma has explained how by 13000 non teaching posts restorations, the livelihoods of the sacked teachers could be solved. Addressing on Day-6 of 10323 teachers protest, Joint Movement Committee of 10323 teachers, reminded the BJP Govt about its pre-poll promise and Vision Document which was released by heavyweight figure, the then Finance Minister Arun Jaitley.
