AGARTALA, Dect 10 (TIWN): On a shocking note, the childline members received massive public resentment after they went to stop a child marriage. The incident occurred in Pratapgarh area on Thursday morning.
While briefing media about today's incident the childline member said, "After getting complain about this marriage we came to the spot to investigate. After we came here and asked for the girl's biodata, the family refused to show. They made us wait for two long hours, gheraoed our car. When police came and they were forced to show the papers, it was proved that the girl is actually minor."
Later the childline members and West Agartala Women police took the girl and her mother to police station to council them. They will be released soon after some paperworks.
